To have St. Joseph's College, School Department, with its own website was a long-standing dream that has now become a reality. For this I wish to thank and to congratulate the members of the School Alumni Association. With the great attachment that so many former students have for North Point, it has surely been a lobour of love. It has taken months of diligent planning to execute this attractive website and all of us at the School owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to all those who have contributed to this masterpiece.

The history of this hallowed institution is now enshrined in cyberspace, honouring forever the men and women who, over the century and more, have firmly believed in the "Magis" of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits and formally lived it out in their daily lives so that this greater excellence would be pursued in every facet of school life at North Point. The education of the mind and heart, the inculcation of high moral principles, the development also of the body through challenging sporting activities so that "mens sara in corpore sans" (a healthy mind in a healthy body) could be achieved was always the target.

However, to bask in the glory of the past alone would be a futile excercise. The message of the website is clear with its vision - 2000. The "magis" has to be continually pursued and it is to this purpose that the alumni association wishes to rally all our former and present students and their families so that North Point's future may even outshine the achievements of the first century. I appeal to all of you to "lift your hearts to the breeze and the glow" and to "stand, boys, like men to each other" and assist your alma mater to offer to future generations the precious experience of those who entered through the Twin Towers in the first century.
